Skardsviti lighthouse is located on the west side of the Vatnsnes Peninsula, north of Hvammstangi Town in North Iceland. Built in 1950 but not operational until 1951, it is cylindrical and slightly cone shaped and made of concrete. It stands 14 metres high and 53 metres above sea level. There are three lighthouses in Iceland identical to this prominent lighthouse on the Vatnsnes Peninsula.
